About Algonquin College

At Algonquin College, students will have the opportunity to experience active participation in practical labs and classroom environments only provided in this institution. In fact, upon their graduation, students are more likely to be able to adapt faster to the working environment as compared to their friends from other colleges and universities due to their in-depth experience.

Students enrolled into this institution will be directed to focus on technology and workplace needs. The best of on-campus living

The access-controlled residence on the Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus houses some 1,050 students in 525 two-bedroom suites. To ensure students are comfortable with their roommates, residents are required to complete a personality profile which helps to match them with roommates with similar interests, character traits, and sleeping habits.

Residence facilities include:

Applications for residence are available in January of each year. A $500 (RM1575) security deposit is required upon application. If you withdraw your application after the cut-off date, you risk forfeiting your deposit.

Ottawa Campus:

The Ottawa Campus is specially designed to meet students’ needs — from public busing to affordable, healthy food services. Since students have a diverse range of needs during their studies here, the Ottawa campus makes it their priority to accommodate those requirements. This campus believes that any college campus should the setup to encourage discussion with students and enriching each other’s experience, providing friendship, support and offering a unique way to learn.

Located in the heart of a busy city, Ottawa has a few advantages there while also remaining safe, clean, and easy to navigate. From the federal government to high-tech companies, from the Byward Market to music festivals, this capital city can offer students a unique combination of employment opportunities and pastimes as well. Algonquin College continues to strive to integrate with Ottawa culture and commerce.

Pembroke Campus:

If you want to imagine Pembroke Campus, then think of a college where you can eat your meals along the shores of Ottawa River or have a stroll through parkland walkways between classes. It is almost impossible to find a college campus anywhere in Canada more beautifully situated than here.

This $36-million campus was officially opened in November 2012, offering sixteen full-time programs plus apprenticeship, academic upgrading, and continuing education courses. The campus promises you outstanding learning opportunities and the environment through its small classes and well-experienced instructors.

For those outdoor enthusiasts, this campus may be the one for you. It is surrounded by the region’s rural and rugged natural terrain, thus, offering unique outdoor programs. Some of these programs include Outdoor Adventure, Outdoor Adventure Naturalist, Forestry Technician, and Environmental Technician programs.

Alongside its unique programs, Pembroke Campus also offers unique opportunities for other activities too such as a variety of businesses, trades, technology, health, and community studies program.

Perth campus:

You can almost never find a more beautiful setting than Algonquin Pert Campus, with its small-town charm and unique list of programs on campus. Students can also gain beyond these invaluable attributes through a special relationship with the town of Perth. It offers students with a powerful sense of belonging and opportunity to have many interactions with the local community.

In the classroom, approach to learning extends to the classroom environments – many of which follows an open concept, perfect for promoting the exchange of information and camaraderie among students. Furthermore, available instructors are nationally and internationally interconnected and are ready with outstanding experience and reputations – taking up leadership roles at conferences and seminars.
