The Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) is one the member institutions of Vocational Training Council (VTC), a leading vocational and professional education and training organisation in Hong Kong. IVE provides valuable credentials for 40,000 full-time students each year.

We have nine campuses throughout Hong Kong and each campus was purpose built with specialised facilities for different disciplines. 

We offer quality programmes at Higher Diploma level. A wide array of disciplines allows students to pursue their passions in different fields. There are effective articulation pathways to secondary school graduates for transition to employment or further education. Upon completion of Higher Diploma programmes, graduates can articulate to Bachelor Degree programmes or top-up degree programmes offered by local or overseas universities.

Our highly-qualified teaching team possesses solid industry experience. With our unique “Think and Do” approach, our teachers impart balanced academic knowledge and practical know-how required in the actual workplace essential for professional success. Our students consistently receive numerous awards and scholarships, testimony to their academic excellence and outstanding achievements. Around HKD40 million in scholarships are available to outstanding full-time students.  Each year, many IVE graduates choose to pursue further studies. About 40% of Higher Diploma graduates pursue degree programmes in local or overseas universities. There are two student dormitories and both offer shared accommodation. The Pok Fu Lam dormitory has 132 bed spaces and is situated on the south side of Hong Kong Island. The Tsing Yi dormitory has 880 bed spaces. The accommodation fee for 2020/21 academic year is HKD2,000 per month and residence period is from September to May of next year.

IVE's campuses across the territory are fully equipped with essential state-of-the-art facilities to prepare students for a well-rounded campus life. Each campus was purpose-built with specialised facilities for students of different disciplines to gain knowhow and practical skills in their chosen areas

To enrich the learning experience of IVE students, facilities of industry standards are set up to simulate the workplace environment. Our laboratories and centres are upgraded on a regular basis to keep abreast with the latest industry trends. Facilities include computer games and animation lab, mock training hotel restaurant, multi-media language workshop, centre for networking technology, 3D animation production studio, multi-media advertisement production studio etc.
