Curriculum
Coursework Unit – 60%. This comprises two projects for the AS component, and a personal investigation project at A2. You will produce both sketchbook and research work, which is assessed alongside a portfolio of prints and work for exhibition. The A2 personal investigation is supported by 1,000 – 3,000 words, which can be presented in a variety of ways
Externally set assignment – 40%. You are given preparatory time to respond to a set question, again sketchbook and research work is made in preparation for the timed assignment
The following workshops are covered during the initial stage of the course:
- Using your camera and through the lens techniques
- Location techniques through the environment
- Studio Lighting and Fashion
- Documentary and darkroom printing You will then extend your preferred direction into an in-depth photographic study
