About
Industrial design is the professional discipline of creating goods that are utilized by millions of people across the world every day. Industrial designers consider the product's appearance and value, as well as its manufacturing and user experience. Every thing you own and interact with in your house is the result of a design process that involved thousands of decisions targeted at improving your life via design.
In professional practice, industrial designers are frequently part of diverse teams that collaborate to achieve a common aim. This team consists of strategists, engineers, user interface (UI) designers, project managers, branding specialists, graphic designers, customers, and manufacturers. The collaboration of so many various viewpoints enables the design team to completely comprehend a problem before crafting a solution that successfully responds to a user's specific wants.
Industrial designers provide concepts for manufactured goods and furniture, such as automobiles, household appliances, and toys. They bring together art, economics, and engineering to create goods that people use every day. When developing a new product concept, industrial designers take into account its purpose, aesthetics, production costs, and usability.
In the first and second years, students will learn a variety of abilities, including manual sketching, digital sketching, and model making, as well as how to turn their idea design into a reality. Aside from that, they will be exposed to a variety of theories and information that are required in the field of Industrial Design. The student will be able to concentrate on a specific area of interest (Product Design, Transportation Design, Furniture Design, or Sustainable Design) based on their choice.
