Entry Requirements
For Domestic and those International students not required to complete the English Language Enhancement course, to be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Business Information Systems (BBusInfSys), a student must acquire 240 credit points as prescribed below:
- gain 220 credit points for core courses
- gain 20 credit points for one of the following options:
- 20 credit points for Industry Project (Part I) and Industry Project (Part II) or
- 20 credit points for Industry Project or
- 20 credit points for Industry Affiliates Program
- complete no more than 100 credit points of courses at first year level.
- Students who are required to complete Language and Communication for Sciences are NOT required to study Government-Business Relations OR Economics for Decision Making 1.
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. This qualification is accredited as an AQF Level 7 - Bachelor Degree.
Domestic students enrolled in this English Language Enhancement program whose first language is not English may complete the following English Language Enhancement Course as an elective.
- Language and Communication for Sciences
Students whose first language is English are not permitted to undertake this ELE course and enrolments will be monitored to ensure compliance.

Year 1
Students must complete the following courses:
- Web Design and Development
- Introduction to Marketing
- Language and Communication for Sciences (see Note 1) OR
- Government-Business Relations OR
- Economics for Decision Making 1
- Introduction to Programming
- Accounting for Decision Making
- Business Informatics
- Management Concepts
- Introduction to Information Systems
Year 2
Students must complete the following courses:
- Business Processes (also offered online from 2014)
- System Analysis and Design
- User Interface Design
- Business Communication
- Computer Systems and Networks
- Project Management
- Organisational Behaviour
- Business Analysis (only offered at Nathan campus)
Year 3
Students must complete the following courses:
- Strategic IS Management (see Note 1)
- Applied Human Resource Management and Change
- Industry Project (capstone course) OR
- Industry Affiliates Program (capstone course)
- Management Strategy and Decision Making
- Management Problem Solving (capstone course)
- Professional Issues in Information Technology (online off-campus mode)
