Bachelor of Nursing Science (Honours)

The four-year Bachelor in Nursing Science (Honours) program is a pre-registration course designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to become proficient nurse practitioners. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students are prepared to deliver high-quality patient care, meet professional standards, and address the diverse challenges of the healthcare industry.

For Malaysian Candidates:

Academic Qualifications:

Either one (1) of the following:

• STPM (CGPA ≥ 2.5).

• A-Level (Grade C in 3 subjects).

• AIMST Foundation/Matriculation/Pre-University (CGPA ≥ 2.5).

• Any Diploma (CGPA ≥ 2.5; no credit transfer).

• Diploma in Nursing (recognized by MNB):

  • With 2 years clinical experience (credit transfer allowed).

  • Without experience (4-year programme; 120 credits).

• STAM (Jayyid in 4 subjects; starting 2024).

Additional Requirements:

SPM Credits in:

• Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science.

• Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern).

Language Proficiency:

• MUET Band 3 or IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 515/215/80 or SPM English Credit.

For International Candidates:

Academic Qualifications:

Either one (1) of the following:

• STPM/equivalent (CGPA ≥ 2.5).

• A-Level (Grade C in 3 subjects).

• Foundation (CGPA ≥ 2.5).

• Any Diploma (CGPA ≥ 2.5; no credit transfer).

• Diploma in Nursing (registered with Nursing Council; 2 years clinical experience; credit transfer allowed).

  • Must pass MNB nursing board exam before enrolment.

Additional Requirements:

SPM/equivalent Credits (minimum Grade C) in:

• General Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science.

• Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern).

• Language Proficiency:

  • IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 515/215/80 or Cambridge English (CAE/CPE) or PTE.

Health Status:

• Medically certified fit within one month of programme start.

• Exclusion Conditions:

  • Serious physical/mental illness.

  • Serious communicable diseases.

  • Physical/mental disabilities hindering nursing dexterity.
