KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 8th September 2024 – Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) welcomes its first application from international student quadruplets who will be pursuing their studies at the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) in Kuala Lumpur. The quadruplets, Alikhan, Alizhan, Zaragul, and Zeregul, all 17, are from Kazakhstan and cited many reasons why Malaysia attracted them to pursue their studies here. Malaysia's reputation for cutting-edge innovation and top-tier education attracted them to pursue their studies here.

Upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA Terminal 2), the quadruplets were warmly welcomed by representatives from the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and APU at the EMGS International Student Arrival Centre (ISAC).

Malaysia has long been a preferred destination for international students due to its high-quality education system, multicultural environment and affordable education and living costs. Based on the latest statistics from EMGS, Kazakhstan is among the top 10 countries for new applications received to study in Malaysia in 2024. International students from Kazakhstan have a growing interest in studying abroad in Malaysia, with more than 1900 applications received since 2020.

“We are proud to receive our Kazakh quadruplets today at the International Student Arrival Centre (ISAC). The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan will always give our full support to our students to study in Malaysia. We wish them the best of luck and enjoy the best study experience in Malaysia.” said Kyran Orynbekov, the Consular from the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Malaysia.

Novie Tajuddin, the CEO of EMGS said, “It is a great honour for us to have the quadruplets from Kazakhstan choose Malaysia for their studies. We believe that our world-class education system and warm hospitality will provide them with an unforgettable experience. Plus, our dedicated team are always ready to welcome students at our International Student Arrival Centre (ISAC) located at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. We wish the quadruplets, welcome to Malaysia and your new home away from home”. "APU has been receiving students from Kazakhstan and other countries in the Central Asian region for more than 20 years. Our experience with students from this region has always been very positive as they have always done their country proud as highly conscientious, mature and cultured students. We are truly touched that the parents of Alikhan, Alizhan, Zaragul, and Zeregul have entrusted us with their children’s education, As the first and only Malaysian university accredited by the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), APU has established a strong reputation for academic excellence.
