Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in relevant field that accepted by the University’s Senate; or
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree accepted by the University’s Senate; or
- First Class Honour Degree in a relevant field that is accepted by the University’s Senate (direct entry).
English Proficiency Requirements:
For International Students
- IELTS : Band score 6.0; or
- TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 60; or
- Cambridge English : Advanced (CAE) : Overall score of 169; or
- Cambridge English : Proficiency (CPE) : Overall score of 169; or
- Cambridge Linguaskill : Overall score of 169; or
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) : Overall score of 59;
The following categories of students are exempted from the above requirements:
- International students from countries in which English is the first language.
- International students who graduated from any Malaysian or other institutions where the curriculum is delivered in English.

- Presentation of PhD research proposal at IMUJC ICL module 1 / Micro-Credential 1 (Optional)
Executive Programme (Optional):
- External Executive Programme / Student Mobility / International Conference ICL module 2 / Micro-Credential 2
Data Collection & Thesis Preparation:
- Data collection, Data Analysis & Thesis writing ICL module 3 / Micro-Credential 3 (Optional)
Viva Voce:
- Thesis submission Proof of two (2) submitted papers to Scopus / ISI indexed journal (related to the topic of the research)
