About
The Master of Science in Biotechnology is a multidisciplinary program that integrates principles from biology and chemistry. Students acquire knowledge in areas such as Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Genomics, and Microbial Epidemiology, preparing them for careers in biotechnology industries focused on research and development. Biotechnology has evolved into an applied science with a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing various fields such as recombinant DNA technology, cellular biology, microbiology, process design, genetic engineering, drug and protein modeling, and quality control.
To successfully complete the Master's degree program at Lincoln University College (LUC), each candidate is required to publish a minimum of two research articles in Scopus indexed journals, with affiliation to Lincoln University College. This requirement reflects the emphasis on academic research and scholarly contributions within the field of biotechnology.

Entry Requirements
i. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, or its equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate;
OR
ii. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in a related field with at least CGPA of 2.50 and has not achieved CGPA 2.75, or its equivalent can be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment;
OR
iii. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related field but has not achieved CGPA of 2.50, or its equivalent can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in the relevant field.
English competency for international students
International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS OR Band 3 in MUET OR its equivalent.
