Entry Requirements

  • 160 UCAS points , IELTS Score: 6.5, Advanced Level (A2) , Level 3 Extended Diploma, Access to Higher Education qualifications or equivalent plus a satisfactory reference.
  • Applicants are not necessarily expected to have formal qualifications. For example, they may have had appropriate work experience, paid, or unpaid. Students may be admitted onto the Award on the basis of non-certificated learning. However, in the absence of formal learning qualifications, applications are welcomed from persons who can demonstrate relevant work experience, including work in a voluntary capacity.

  • Criminal Justice System

At level 5 the Compulsory Modules are:

  • Social Research Methods 
  • Social Divisions in Contemporary Society 
  • Community Development: Policy and Practice 
  • Law Enforcement, Punishment and the State 
  • Youth Crime and Youth Justice

Level 5 Option Modules - Students to elect one of the following modules:

Contemporary Issues and the Criminal Justice System 
Introducing Social and Cognitive Psychology

At level 6 the Compulsory Modules:
