Students are actively encouraged to seek the support of an appropriate mentor within their workplace or placement to further enhance their understanding of the links between theory and practice. Mentors are supported in this role by College Programme Managers and Tutors with guidance being offered in meetings at the Colleges and contacts being maintained through a visit to the workplace. Part-time students would normally be expected to have an appropriate workplace mentor identified at the start of their programme.
