Entry Requirements
- GCSE: For all applicants, Grade C or above, or Grade 4 under newly reformed GCSE grading, in English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. Please note the University does not accept Level 2 Key Skills, Functional Skills or Certificates in Adult Numeracy and Literacy as suitable alternatives to GCSEs.
- A-level subjects: No specific subjects required. Points from General Studies and AS-Level subjects (not taken onto full A-Level) can be included towards overall tariff. You must have a minimum of two A-Levels.
- Relevant subjects: Students with a closely related HNC, HND or Foundation Degree may apply for advanced entry onto the course.
- EDEXCEL (BTEC) Diploma: In addition to the BTEC Diploma, GCSE Grade C or above, or Grade 4 under newly reformed GCSE grading, in one of the following subjects: Business and Communication Systems; Computing; Design and Technology; Electronics; Engineering; IT; ICT; Technology.
- Access: Achievement of the Access to HE Diploma; to include 30 level 3 credits at merit.
- Baccalaureate IB: No specific subjects required.

Year 1
During this year you will acquire skills in fundamental areas such as visual design, media technologies and web development as well as understanding principles behind interaction design, multimedia production and how best to communicate information.

In this year you will build on the foundations laid in earlier years and will develop your skills in design for web platforms, Multimedia Authoring, Human-Computer Interaction, as well as other specialist applications and techniques.

Final Year
The final year brings together all the ideas and skills acquired so far. You will study core modules on Professional and Policy Issues, advanced web topics, development for mobile devices and 3D Modelling and Animation. This will serve to consolidate and extend your knowledge, and establish your practical expertise.
